  • Guild Library

The Lake and Mountain Quilters Guild has an extensive library of books on quilting history and techniques, as well as learning materials and patterns. Members can browse and check out materials before every monthly meeting.

  • Monthly Meetings

On the first Monday of each month (or the second Monday when the first falls on a holiday), members gather for a town hall discussing current and upcoming guild programs, Show & Share where guild members proudly display their latest creations, and a lecture or a quilt-related program.

  • Workshop Series

Each Tuesday following a monthly meeting, we invite nationally known speakers and instructors to deliver a group workshop for members and the community. Registration and fees are required and vary based on that month’s event; current LMQG members receive priority registration for newly scheduled workshops.

  • Day Bees & Fun Days

Monthly freeform meetings on the third Tuesday of the month are Day Bees and Fun Days, providing a forum for member-taught mini workshops on patterns and techniques as well as an opportunity to complete guild charity projects together. These are a wonderful opportunity for inspiring friendships and communal learning.

  • Charity Projects

Philanthropy is an important part of LMQG’s mission. Our members come together to create and donate comfort quilts and other projects for those in need in our community. Ongoing initiatives include scrub hats for pediatric patients in local hospitals, lap quilts for those in hospice care, quilts for displaced families and children, and quilts to celebrate and honor local veterans.

  • Cottage Groups

LMQG encourages members to launch specialized cottage groups to share interests in a particular area of quilting, fabrics, and style. These groups often display their work for the public to enjoy.
